A Fresno native, Mike moved to Kansas City, Missouri as a young man. At the Kansas City Art Institute, he earned 2 BFAs, one in studio ceramics and another in art history. He became the Associate Director and Curator for the Kansas City Jewish Museum Foundation’s Epstein Gallery of Contemporary Art. He was also the owner/director of The Cube at Beco, a fine art gallery in KC’s Crossroads Arts District. With a passion for cooking, Mike also operated a pop- up restaurant from his home in Kansas City’s Hyde Park neighborhood. After moving back to Fresno in 2019, Mike opened a Bed & Bath in his childhood home in Fig Garden.
